Sea Turtle Watching
July – September | 2–3 Hours
Experience one of the most remarkable natural attractions on Sal. During this evening tour, you will join a local guide in search of sea turtles coming ashore to lay their eggs. In a peaceful setting and with full respect for nature, you will witness a unique event that is only possible during a few months of the year.

Important – Respect for the Turtles
Please Note
- Wear dark-coloured clothing to avoid disturbing the turtles
- White or brightly coloured clothing is not permitted
- Red light may only be used with permission from the guide
- Do not use torches, flashlights, camera flashes or other white light sources
- Stay close to the guide and follow all instructions
- Keep a safe distance from the animals
- Never touch the turtles, eggs or nests
- Avoid making loud noises and respect the tranquillity of the beach

- Although the chances of seeing turtles during the nesting season are high is, we cannot guarantee that turtles will be visible or come ashore during the excursion.
- We kindly ask all participants to respect nature and follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
